Testimonies on Sodium Bicarbonate (Baking Soda)

The following testimonies from the bicarbonate book highlight bicarbonate’s use as a pain reliever:

“After suffering from a 4 hour long blinding headache for which nothing I took brought any relief, I tried the sodium bicarbonate, 1 tsp mixed in a glass of water.  Within a few short minutes I could feel the headache abating and within the hour it was completely relieved!  I tried this again when another headache occurred, and it worked just as miraculously.”

“This is the best pain reliever of all the ones I have been trying.  I am amazed that something so simple would be so potent! I haven’t exceeded 7 a day; but wish I could.  It takes the pain away for about 2 hours. Nothing seems to work more then 2 hours at a time.”

My father was a veterinarian and as far back as I can remember (I was born in 1938 so my memory goes back to maybe 1943) he would take sodium bicarbonate dissolved in a full glass of warm water whenever he felt a cold coming on. I don’t remember him ever coming down with a full blown cold. He would treat my cold symptoms likewise and I responded equally as well. He also treated farm animals for various illnesses with sodium bicarbonate via a gastric tube and they recovered quickly. So I’ve known about the benefits of sodium bicarbonate from early childhood on. Glad to see that its benefits are being more widely touted. Although my father was a doctor of Veterinarian medicine, he sometimes referred to himself as an MD (Mule Doctor).

Dear Dr. Sircus,

Several weeks ago, I purchased your eBook about Sodium Bicarbonate. IT CHANGED MY LIFE. I believe that God is working through you and your staff to spread the word about the body’s natural ability to heal, given the right elements. Thank you!!!

I’ve been reading your newsletter for some time now, and happened to see your eBook about baking soda. We don’t have a lot of money, but I felt that your research might help me. Sure enough I can tell you that within the week following reading your book – and practicing what you preach – I have been practically hive/urticaria free.

I started with straight baking soda and water. Yuck! I could hardly make myself do it. But I was going for the PH balance you talked about. I read more about the different oral combinations and decided to try the Maple Syrup and Baking Soda. 3:1, it worked great and tasted great too. I couldn’t believe I could eat that much sugar!

Right now I’m smiling and feeling great. My mood is good, my energy is way up and most important the swellings and itching are gone. My hair is growing back thicker. My skin looks great. I’m not tired all the time. I can’t believe the difference in my health. Praise God for his goodness in inspiring your work.

I’ve recently added Nascent Iodine after reading some tips of yours. I was indeed deficient and that seems to be adding to the overall good effects. My children are benefiting from this research as well. I’m so happy to find alternatives to mainstream medicine.

Dear Dr. Sircus,

I have had Morgellons for over 6 years – very nasty – and I know you are aware of our plight. I am now ready to start your transdermal magnesium therapy treatments but first I have to tell you something.

I would like you to know that bicarbonate baths really help me. But, and this is a big BUT, I use it with about 3 Lb’s of sea salt per bath and when I did 5 Lb’s of bicarbonateI put myself into an alkaline state.  The high salt content somehow opened up my skin to take in the bicarbonate – it came out of my skin for a few weeks!

Thank you,
Carola Dunham

I just want to express my gratitude to Dr Mark Sircus. I am a believer in his work because Cancer hit home with my husband being diagnosed with prostate cancer.

Many years before my husband had been diagnosed with prostate cancer I had already been an avid reader and believer in sodium bicarbonate, magnesium chloride and Iodine.

I personally had contacted the swine flu eight months ago and feeling sick as a dog I ordered Iodine and began to take the iodine and immediately I was able to get up from my bed and I recovered immediately.

The magnesium has helped me enormously as well with many ailments beginning with pain in my knees and joints.

Now my husband takes sodium bicarbonate for the cancer and the prognosis is excellent now.

They can NOT find any cancer in his body! These three wonderful elements or supplements, whichever way we want to call them, and they are effective.

We should all give these supplements a try. They may save your life.

Confirmed Bicarbonate Cancer Cure

Vernon Johnston

Well I am just delighted to share with you that I just got off the phone with Vernon Johnston, the gentleman that reached out to me when I was finishing my Sodium Bicarbonate book. He was the fellow who had been diagnosed with prostate cancer with metastasis to the bones. This was over 15 months ago and I wrote up his story and shared his treatment diary in my Rich Man’s Poor Man’s Cancer Treatment bicarbonate book. He was going to do a cesium chloride treatment but because his order got lost in the mail ended up doing sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) orally, managed to get his urinary pH up to 8.5 for five days and then within two weeks was back at his oncologists office for a test, which showed his bones being cleared of his cancer.

“Cancer tried to kill me. After a struggle or two, or three, or four, or more I said, “No!” Or at least I was hoping for a “No.” I turned to Cesium, but ended up with Baking Soda. My goal was to change my pH quickly. I knew little or next to nothing what pH, Alkaline or Acidic meant. Happily I found out,” said Vernon Johnston.

Is this like for real and it helps I need more energy and to help with muscle pain what should I do

For starters beside alkalinizing your body, start using magnesium oil transdermally especially over sore muscles, massage it in, bathe in it, spray it on whenever needed and read up on magnesium and its benefits on our site. .Get the book for even more information.

Hello Claudia, how is the lemon juice/baking soda/water/proportion and daily intake for a 11 year old girl?

    • http://drsircus.com/ Claudia French

      Dear Mother of Three,

We cannot give out dosing information without knowing more information about your daughter and why you are giving this to her. That can only be done in consultation with Dr. Sircus. We do not generally recommend baking soda orally be given to a child on a daily basis unless cancer is being treated. I hope you can understand this. But it is often used for insect bites, as a deodorant, skin cleanser, bath additive acne remedy etc.

I’ve read that sodium bicarbonate depletes or even destroys thiamine (B-1) which is very important for so many biological functions in the body. Is this true?

    • http://drsircus.com/ Claudia French

Kelly, its possible that when taking high doses of sodium bicarbonate over long periods of time that B vitamins could be depleted. Folic acid depletion is more commonly recognized and supplementation with b vitamins and folic acid may be necessary. Always follow the instructions for maximum doses which are no more than 7 half tsp of sodium bicarbonate per day for a person under age 60 and no more than 3 half tsp per day if over age 60.

ive been diagnosed with fibroadonema for 6 months ( 4-cm-diameter ) . how to shrink it orally n topically? either using iodine/baking soda. is iodine natural ??? thx

  • Tony Viccini

With me is the opposite, if I consume baking soda I would get headache. I discovered this when I got an indigestion and took a half teaspoon in glass a water. Also, if I eat bread made with baking powder would produce me the same type of headache.

  • Susan DeBay

I would like to know if I should be drinking the magnesium bicarbonate one a glass a day or use it as drinking water numerous times a day?

  • Susan DeBay

Hi Dr. Sircus, I have been diagnosed with two gallstones the size of nickels and a lot of calcifications in my kidneys and on top of that they found a large nofule or growth on my thyroid. I’ve been using the Mag. Bi., the iodine and sofium bicarnonate for about a week and a half. I heard from this woman that I shouldn’t take sodium bicarbonate because it will form gallstones. Is that true and should I stop taking it? Ialso have a persistant cough that just won’t go away and I was wondering what to do about that as well.
Your work is very easy to understand and I so appreciate you.
Thanks so much for answering my questions.

Hello, I recently bought in bulk the four ingredients of Phour Salts – calcium carbonate, magnesium, carbonate, potassium bicarbonate, and sodium bicarbonate. Can you please recommend proportions for mixing them? There’s another product called Tri-Salts by Ecological Formulas that has these proportions – 450mg calcium carbonate, 250mg magnesium carbonate and 99mg potassium bicarbonate (no sodium carbonate). Thanks for any assistance.

        • http://drsircus.com/ Claudia French

You would have to ask Dr. Sircus that question. phour salts and tri salts may be very good but have no idea what adding sodium bicarb to them would do. We are not too familiar with tri salts and have not used them. Feel free to consult with Dr. Sircus:

I am taking a 650 mg.-sodium bicarbonate tablet every 8 hours, that’s three times a day. Please educate me on this if the dosage I am administering to myself is safe. I am doing this due to the presence of 2.7cm stone in my urinary bladder and several gallstones in my gallbladder.

    • http://drsircus.com/ Claudia French

      Dear Eddie,

Check your blood pressure for elevations with the increased sodium intake. You should also be using magneisum which mitigates the formation of some stones. Other protocol items on Dr. Sircus protocol would also be of benefit to your situation as bicarbonate of soda alone may not be enough. Claudia French

Hi just heard about the miracle medicine bicarbonate of soda! Like most I suffer from regular bad headaches and normal pain killers don’t often work. I tried the bicarbonate and water and within 20 mins or so it had fully gone! I am hoping this is the cure for me moving forward. Please tell me I have been taking zoton for my stomach problem for over 10 years now but every time I try to get off it I get bad acid. I assume its the withdrawal of the medication after been on it so long. I wouldn’t mind but I never had acid before I went in it just stomach ache! Do you think the bicarbonate and water drink would cure me and help me get off the medication? I look forward to your advice

    • http://drsircus.com/ Claudia French

      To KB,

Nice to hear that the sodium bicarbonate helped your stomach acid condition. There’s a number of thinks you will need to do to alkalinize and you would benefit from getting on Dr. Sircus full protocol. If you do this you have a good chance of being able to come off of the pharmaceutical drug you have been on for so long. Consider magnesium deficiency as well.

Pls I’m also trying to treat fibroids.I saw up in one of the comments you suggestediodine and magnesium and full protocol?
    The fibroid is about 8cm
I musing one whole squuezedvoemon and 1/2tsp baking soda three times dail
How do you suggest I use the iodine
    Thank you

    • Claudia – IMVA Staff

      Dear Lee,

The baking soda and lemon each day will help you to become and stay mlore alkaline. And yes, iodine is worth a try, you could get some nascent iodine and put about 5 drops in a glass of water twice a day to start with and see if it helps with how you feel and with the fibroid. Magnesium massages are important too and you can massage the oil into your abdominal area.

  • Drew

I’m also interested in hydrogen peroxide treatment (oral). Presently I’m taking a teaspoon of baking soda per day in distilled water (just stareted). The hydrogen peroxide (3% food grade solution) will be taken up to 25 drops per day in water also (3 times per day). Is this OK to do alongside the baking soda?
    Thanks and GOD bless you!

    • Claudia – IMVA Staff

      Drew,

It’s best you get a consultation with Dr. Sircus for your answers to this.

I’ve seen that some practitioners have stopped recommending hydrogen peroxide inhalation due to some damage it can cause to the airways. Others think its fine, though.

    Dear Dr. Sircus,

I was wondering if sodium bicarbonate also helps shrink fibroids/myoma, if so, how should this be administered to the patient?

Thank you so much for the work you are doing,God Bless!

      Maybel,

Try iodine orally and painted on the area of firbroids. It has been shown to be effective in shrinking them. Read Dr. Sircus’ book on iodine:

      http://publications.imva.info/index.php/e-books/iodine-cancer-diabetes-radiation.html

Magnesium is also beneficial for reducing firbroids….best to get on the full protocol.

        Dear Dr.Sircus,
I am a new here on this site and found people’s testimony very informative. I am suffering from back ace and pain around thigh, which is probably the sign of firbroids/myomo. I believe alternative medicine or natural remedies have potential benefits to fight any diseases. Can I take baking soda as a starter.

        • http://drsircus.com/ Claudia French

Glad you found us and keep reading. You should start with magnesium oil for your described problem. Read up on magnesium and you can find a lot here about that. Dr. Sircus recommends Ancient Minerals Magnesium oil and/or Magnesium Bicarbonate for drinking water which will both help. Bicarbonate of soda may be appropriate but more information is needed from you on that and your cancer diagnosis. Please seek a consultation if you don’t want to wait before reading the available material and to discuss your situation in depth. By all means do what you need to get more alkaline.

      Peter,

Different practitioners advise doing the sodium bicarbonate for cancer treatment on different schedules. Most people need repeated rounds of taking sodium bicarbonate to see improvement in cancer status. I’m glad you will be talking soon with Dr. Sircus as only he can advise what your specific protocol should be. Of course the pH will drop back down after you take a break from bicarb treatment, but it will go up again once you restart taking it in a week.

I truly hope you get your appointment soon

Could you share some protocols for Morgellons? Do you offer guidance on the application of bicarbonate of soda and supplements for this health challenge?

I’m sorry but Dr. Sircus has not looked in depth at Morgellon’s disease just yet. But like any illness its important to have adequate immune support to combat the disease which can be provided by Dr. Sircus’ general protocol of keeping a good pH, keeping magnesium stores up to par and utilizing iodine.

    Hi Claudia,
Thank you very much for answering my question. My wife started on June 1st for 3 days with one tea spoon per day, and 2 tea spoon afterwards. Her urine PH was 8 since June 4th (we did not really do any PH measurement before June 4th). This morning her urine PH was 8.5 but saliva PH was still 6.75. So I guess we should continue take 2 tea spoon until end of this week. Then we need to stop right? how long we have to wait until we can do next protocol? How can we make an appointment with Dr Sircus to consult with him? We are in Los Angeles area. Dr. Sircus will provide a phone consultation via skype after receiving more information from you on your wife’s health status and complete history. There are a number of options available and you can learn more about these at: http://naturalallopathicclinic.com/

You will need to take a break after pH remains at 8 for a week or so and then remain off the bicarbonate for a week and start again till the testing shows the tumor has receded.. The dosage she is taking may be too much for her and you should not allow pH to go higher than 8.

    Hi Claudia,
My wife got breast cancer in 2004 and it spread to her lung in 2010. We did a surgery but some new tumors were found in her lung again in 2012. My wife started baking soda protocol 5 days ago (first 3 days one tea spoon a day and now 2 tea spoon a day)since i can not get hold of Dr Simoncini for treatment. After 5 days by drinking baking soda, her saliva ph is still at 6.75 but urine ph already up to 8.0. does that mean baking soda really did not get to her blood so her body is still kind of acidic so far. we plan to have 3 tea spoon per day after one week but not sure if it will help to raise her saliva ph. i heard that only your body ph is up to 8.0 for 4 or 5 days in order to kill cancer cell. Please advise me what should i do to improve my situation. Maybe Dr Mark Sircus has better suggest for my wife’s case. i am looking forward to hear back from you.

      Hi Peter,

It someimes takes months for saliva pH to go up relative to urine pH. Go by the urine pH. Her pH must be at 8 for about a week and then you must take a break from sodium bicarbonate ingestion.

Simoncini does not recommend oral bicarbonate for cancer treatment…….only IV’s. You should get a consultationn with Dr. Sircus about your wife’s treatment as soon as possible.

Hello and thank you for all the good you do.

I have been told that taking only sodium bicarbonate can eventually lead to an imbalance in our system.

I understand the importance of an alkaline system. I am now taking Dr. Robert Young’s Phour salts wich contain sodium bicarbonate, magnesium bicarbonate, potassium bicarbonate and calcium bicarbonate.

Is it better to take the 4 salts (phour salts) or to simple take sodium bicarbonate. The difference in price is very high. 454grams of phour salts cost, with shipping, between 30 and 40$.

Thank you for your responce, very appreciated.

      Dear Michel,

Here is Dr. Sircus response to your question:

The four salt product (Phour salt) is very good method of getting potassium,
calcium and some magnesium along with bicarbonate….its magnesium and
I think calcium are not in bicarbonate form though, and if it still
says so about the magnesium bicarbonate it is not true…but still a
fine product. You can buy potassium separately and get calcium from
other sources though….you can buy fifty pounds of bicarbonate for
      about fifty bucks….so….

      Dr. S.

Good day Claudia. Just checking again on another topic. A friend’s husband was diagnosed with kidney problems. He has for two years been able to avoid dialysis. What advice do you have? I have noticed a chapter with some information in the ebook I have.

    Alexis.

    • Claudia – IMVA Staff

      Alexis,

Recent research has shown that for some people with end stage renal disease, taking sodium bicarbonate at about 650 mg. 2-3 times/day will delay progression to dialysis or reverse the need for dialysis. Check with your MD about this.

    Dear Claudia,

Further to your advice, wish to seek your kind advise:
do you mean we should do the 1 tsp Twice a day continuously for 14 days and then take a break?
How long should the break be?
after the break, do we need to restart agaiin?
Does too much sodium bicarb harmful to stomach/gastric cancer patient?
    Thanks for your help

    • Claudia – IMVA Staff

      Vince,

You need to take a break from using sodium bicarbonate after about 1-2 weeks or when your pH reaches 8 annd stays there for a few days if you are treating cancer. Then yes, a break for about a week and start again……until cancer is gone as evidenced by your cancer ntesting done with medical doctors.. Unfortunately that’s the way people confirm remissions though some choose not to go that route.

    Dear Dr. Sircus,

My mother had a mastectomy back in 2000 and she was fine for the next 11 years. In November 2011 she suffered from a pneumonia and received a lot of medication, but unfortunately it turned to be a metastatic breast cancer developing a pleural effusion.

I have heard about sodium bicarbonate & molasses treatment (1:3 – 1 teaspoonful daily) and I would kindly ask you to provide me with a proper dosage that will help my mother.

Thanking you in advance for your kind response.

    Dr. Sircus,

I am 57 years old and have had BPH (enlarged prostate) for about 15 years. To remedy the condition, I’ve been taking increasingly greater amounts of various prostate formula nutritional supplements. Unfortunately, during the past two years, I’ve had to go to the ER twice to have urinary blockages catheterized. I was put on Flomax and Finasteride by my first urologist, but stopped shortly after use. The Flomax stuffed up my nose so much that I could hardly breath, and the Finasteride (only took it for ten days) dropped my libido to zero. I’ve found that the Jarrow brand “Prostate Optimizer with BroccoMax” works as well as Flomax. However, at eight capsules per day (approx. $3.20), it is more expensive than Flomax, plus it is not reducing the prostate size but simply keeping it from growing more. I also use Advil on days of severe swelling. A second urologist had blood work done for me and told me I had a 4.6 PSA level. He recommended a biopsy, but I declined as I felt it was completely unnecessary at only a 4.6 PSA. He also recommended out-patient laser surgery. I didn’t want to risk it, however, after reading about numerous cases ending with bad results, so I passed on that, too. I also tried to acupuncture, but to no avail. After about four months of treatment with minimal improvement, my accupuncturist (also an M.D.) suggested laser surgery, and recommended yet another urology practice (which I have not visited). I still believe I can cure this affliction without invasive surgery or debilitating pharmaceuticals. What suggestions do you have for the millions of us men suffering with BPH? Do you have a sodium bicarbonate-based protocol for addressing BPH and permanently reducing prostate size?

Thank you in advance for your reply, as well as for your excellent work.

    Jonathan

    • Claudia – IMVA Staff

      Dear Jonathan,

So sorry to hear about your problems.

Dr. Sircus isn’t answering on this blog about people’s individual problems…but you might want to ask him on Facebook and see if he will answer you there. Otherwise you will need a consultation with him to discuss your specifics as he would need more information before recommending a specific protocol for anyone. I believe he would tell you first, not to worry about the PSA and you have already acted smartly in doing that and refusing some recommended treatments.

There is no specific protocol for bicarbonate and BPH, but Dr. Sircus would probably recommend a number of different things for you including iodine. Iodine has been shown to be very important for men with BPH, it cuts inflammation, and reduces swelling…..here look at this page on the net: http://www.askdoctordavid.com/prostate-problems-how-to-fix-them-naturally/

So its probably best if you got a consult with Dr. Sircus as he has a variety of things in his protocol that you might benefit from. It would definitely include alkalinizing your body with bicarbonate, and magnesium to also cut inflammation.

    Hallo IMVA!

After some internal bleeding I had a gastroscopy done where I
was diagnosed with an about 4cm segment of Barretts
eosophagus, with a circumferential inflamation and ulceration
with raised edges. A biopsy was not taken as I had not been
sedadet. I was told to return in 2 weeks for a biopsy, which I
did not because the procedure caused me to bleed again. I was
also told that it could be cancerous. I then took the baking
soda and maple syrup treatment according to Dr.Sircus.
But I found that the bicarb Of soda and the maple syrup did
not mix well.During heating it started to foam a lot,and
after cooling the bicarb settled at the bottom. My question
is, if that mixture is still effective. Or can one use sugar
instead of maple syrup as it dissolves in water very well as
    does the bicarb.
    Thanking you, Martin .

      Dear Martin,

Sorry to hear about your problem but glad you wrote to us here with your question.

Try using black strap molasses instead of maple syrup or sugar. I has more nutrients, reportedly does not need to be heated up and will work better for you.

See the Video of Vernon Johnson who cured prostate cancer …you can follow his same method illustrated on this video:

    Dear Dr. Sircus,

I would like to know if your book has a protocol to treat colon cancer. I was reading Dr. Simoncini’s web site where he offers advise for certain cancers such as stomach cancer but not colon cancer. His advice for stomach cancer is for one teaspoon of B.S. in a cup of water twice a day. Will this work for colon cancer?

    Thanks a million!!

    • Claudia – IMVA Staff

      Dear Sofia,

Dr. Simoncini has treated colon cancer successfully with sodium bicarbonate and here on his site is a case history for you to take a look at.

      http://www.curenaturalicancro.com/tumor-colon.html

Dr. Sircus believes in a different protocol which includes a full spectrum of nutritional medicines (natural) for treating cancers. We cannot give out specific dosages here on this blog site, for that you will need a consultation with Dr. Sircus or to read his books on cancer.

Dr. Sircus generally does not get into specific types of cancer and their treatments in his books, at least not currently.

    Hello IMVA:

Good day. I am a subscriber to your newsletter and even bought your ebook on Sodium Bicarbonate. I must say that the book is very informative.

My mum was diagnosed with Cancer of the gall bladder in October 2009. After surgery she used the baking soda and molassess as prescribed together with other stuff. She was cancer free. But then her oncologist made her still do chemo and radiation and after doing this combo she kinda relaxed on her protocol. Then in Nov’10 there was a recurrence and a strange thing happened. One doctor placed an instrument in her gallbladder(reconstructed) and she went down hill. She passes away Jan26, 2011 from sepsis due to MRSA. Needless to say our family is still a strong beleiver in your treatment option. Just this month a relative had a mole checked and it is positive – skin cancer. I think that I had read in your book about a paste of baking soda plus other ingredients but cannot stumble upon it, can you help me?

    Thanks,

    Dear Dr. Sircus,

“How effective is baking soda/sodium bircarbonate treatment?”

I found your website and find it very inspirational.

My husband has been diagnosed with Stage 3 rectal cancer and his tumor is located in the low-laying part of the rectal area.

He has visited his oncologists and surgeons, they said the best way is to go through Chemo and Radiation in order to shrink the tumor size small enough to remove it during surgery.

He has been begin his treatment since 3.5 to 4 weeks by taking chemo pills and radiation as well. Now, he has 10 more days to go.

The doctors said he may be required to go through another chemo therapy after surgery, which would be different chemo treatment (through IV). That’s where I feel most uncomfortable and began researching different options such as alternative therapy. And I found your blog with some insightful information.

He has changed his diet to raw organic vegetables the day he was informed that he had cancer. It was a life changing moment and left him a little confused what’s on the horizon for him. Instead he began to eat more raw organic food and exercise than he have done before (He has been eating organic food and exercising moderately for years).

I just do hope that everything posted on your website is true. I am not doubting anything but I do praise your sharing information. That’s his goal to live cancer free (including tumor).

    Thank you,
    Kathy

      Dear Kathy,

Many have been helped with sodium bicarbonate treatment for cancer. Dr. Sircus’ uses the basic protocol of Dr. Tulio Simoncini, but instead of IV targeting of the tumors, he advocates for oral ingestion and raising pH, along with many other supplements. Its a multi-faceted approach. You should read the book on Sodium Bicarbonate and also read about the successes that Dr. Simoncini has had with sodium bicarbonate treatment. In many of Dr. Sircus’ blogs these are highlighted.
Organic diets and exercise are very good …

I hope you find the successful treatement for your husband before he is harmed beyond help by the radiation and chemotherapy…..Please also learn about the harms these cause …..

    Dear Dr. Sircus,
I have recently found to have low serum sodium.I am hypertensive and my blood pressure is ranging from172/91-95. Ace inhibitor not helping.
one of my friend suggeted to take Sodium Bicarbonate to correct low sodium and swelling of ankles. I have read from your various replys that this may help.
I am hoping to hear from you on this subject and if you think Sodium Bicarbonate can help then please advise the dose of Sodibicarb I should be Taking.
    Kind Regards.
    Nawal

    • Claudia – IMVA Staff

      Dear Nawal,

Low serum sodium levels can be caused by many things and the cause must be known to advise proper treatment. And you don’t say how low your serum sodium level is nor which symptoms you are experiencing from that. Your blood pressure is high and while some studies have shown that the sodium in bicarbonate will not raise bp, others disagree. Low sodium levels cannot always be raised by increased dietary intake of sodium. Sometimes low sodium levels are caused by atherosclerosis in the renal arteries, by cardiac problems or other conditions. More information is needed from you.

You really need a consultation with Dr. Sircus to sort out these issues . Only then can he give a recommendation for dosage for you and for other things that might help your situation. Please contact luciana@imva.info for information on obtaining a personal consultation with Dr. Sircus.

    Dear Dr. Sircus,

I forgot to ask if it is good if my father apply compresses with baking soda solution on the neck, where it was operated by the cancerous tumor. The tumor has recurred within a few days after the surgery and has an orifice where leaks.
If it’s good to make compresses please tell me how much quantity of baking soda to use to a cup of water. It is good if that solution reach that hole and enters in the body?

    Thank you from my heart,

      Dear Ritta,

I am very sorry bu your specific questions need to be answered in a personal consultation with Dr. Sircus. He will need more information from you before he can suggest dosages. Other things on his protocol, such as clay packs might be recommended as well. Please contact luciana@imva.info to schedule a time to talk with Dr. Sircus.

    Dear Dr. Sircus,

Thanks God that I found you and your wonderful book Sodium Bicarbonate.
My father is 75 years and he was diagnosed with ganglionic cancer and the doctors say that it appeared that the tumor on his neck is metastasis, but they do not know where is located the original tumor. He is also diabetic.
Yesterday, my father began the treatment with sodium bicarbonate as you recommended in your book: one freshly squeezed whole lemon , 1 tsp. baking soda in half glass water, taken twice a day.
My question is, if the cancer is in metastasis is sufficient the 2 teaspoons of baking soda per day or we should increase the quantity . And, please tell me in what form should take my father the magnesium chloride and iodine and in what quantity.
He also started the Budwig diet with linseed oil in a very strict diet. Does the sodium bicarbonate interferes with linseed oil or is OK to continue with this diet.

All our hope is in you, many blessings.
    Thanks from my heart,

THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING! THERE ARE NO COMMENTS BELOW THY RESPONSE.?? THANKS FOR THE INFO ABOUT PHOURSALTS. YOU DID NOT MENTION MY MIXING “TRISALTS” WITH S.D. IT CONTAINS PER 1/2 TSP. CALCIUM (CARBONATE) 450 mg / MAGNESIUM (CARBONATE) 250 mg / POTASSIUM (CARBONATE) 99 mg.
“Sorry, I meant calcium, as you mentioned, not magnesium”
Did you answer my first response, I don’t see any below as you said?
Does cal carbonate cause kidney failure, stones, and all the other curses mentioned with S.B. as you say cal chloride does??
Like many others, I do not understand the mixing mag chloride with S.B. I cannot find that product anywhere?!

      Rodney,

If you read Dr. Sircus’ essay on The Ultimate Mitochondrial Coctail, http://magnesiumforlife.com/medical-application/the-ultimate-mitochondrial-cocktail/ you might understand better. Dr. Sircus recommends using magnesium chloride and sodium bicarbonate separately and explains it in this essay. Though there are ways to make a mixture of the two.

You might also read his essay on Magnesium and Calcium: http://magnesiumforlife.com/medical-application/magnesium-and-calcification/

There’s lots more on this site, but if your questions are still not answered you might want to consider a private consultation with Dr. Sircus to discuss this. I am not that familiar with tri-salts so cannot answer all your questions.

Excess calcium can lodge anywhere in the body and cause numerous problems. It can cause atheroschlerosis, problems in various organs including the kidney, arthritis , joint problems, and much more. Excess calcium can be treated with sodium thiosulfate, which chelates the excess calcium from the body.

I recently submitted a message asking about mixing S.D. with magnesium which you say causes kidney failure, etc. and mentioned the widely used product (Phoursalts). I do not see my message on thy screen. This is important as there are several concerned about this, including Waverly Wellness House and other practitioners. Please do not disregard this question any longer, I’ve been trying to find out the answers for months to no avail!!! (607-775-4645)
I personally have been mixing “Trisalts” with S.D. but am no longer because of thy warnings! Please respond!

    • Claudia – IMVA Staff

      Rodney,

First of all your previous message and question is still here, look two comments down from here. And in that message you were asking about mixing sodium bicarbonate (SB not S.D) with calcium, not magnesium as you state here.

Dr. Sircus has some problems with the phoursalts, as some of the ingredients do not actually exist . For example magnesium bicarbonate: Magnesium bicarbonate is a complex hydrated salt that exists only in water under specific conditions. It does not occur in a solid form.

Sodium bicarbonate reacts with calcium chloride to produce a precipitate of calcium carbonate plus a gas, water, and another aqueous product. A precipitate is generally an insoluble form.

Dr. Sircus maintains that excess calcium in the system is harmful unless well balanced with other minerals, specifically magnesium. Dr. Sircus stands by his recommendation.

      Dear Suresh,

Please read up on this bicarbonate use in Dr. Sircus Book on Bicarbonate. You will need to check your pH daily to guide your need for the bicarbonate. You will learn about this in the book.
Also you should switch your diet to one that will help your body stay more alkaline. This will help your immune system. Monitor your blood pressure with bicarbonate use to make sure it is not raising your blood pressure.

I have decided to take your recommendation to add Magnesium Chloride and Sodium thiosulfate to my distilled well water.
My question is what kind of magnesium chloride dissolves best in water?
Also what kind of sodium thiosulfate should I buy?
If you could suggest where I could buy these it would help also.
    Thanks Bobby

    Dear Dr. Sircus,
I get my water from a well and found out about 6 months ago it is high in uranium.
I have started using a distiller for our drinking water and the ph of the distilled water is about 5 or so. I have been adding enough baking soda to bring the ph up to 7. It takes quiet a bit of soda per gallon. Is this safe to do this over long periods of time or is their a better way to get the distilled water up to neutral?

    Dear Dr. Sircus,
I’m a bit concerned that my wife is breastfeeding our 2 month old baby and is developing the signs of thrush and a yeast infection that she’s been having challenges in the past. As of now we’re starting to take the coarse of starving the yeast with no sugar of any kind- even fruit, giving her a probiotic & properly cultured foods. I was wondering if giving her sodium bicarbonate would be helpful and above all safe for the baby. Thanks for your time, your incredible site and work. Blessings

      John,
Your wife should consult with her own healthcare provider about using sodium bicarbonate while breastfeeding. The use of sodium bicarb for children under 6 years of age is not recommended. Its hard to know how much is passed in breast milk. Be cautious and look for the cause of the candida overgrowth.

    Dr. Mark,
How do you check your PH? And, I am going to buy your book. I have CIN II preinvasive cervical cancer and I hope that I can kick this recurring issue with your treatment of sodium bicarbonate. I just want to be safe and hope I can do this at home. If this works – you and your book will have a great testimonial from me. I hope to keep in touch. Take care.

    • http://director.imva.info/ Mark Sircus

      Holly,
Go to your local health food store or medical supply house and buy some saliva pH testing strips. You test by placing saliva on the strip, or holding it briefly in your mouth and matching the color on the strip to the color on the package. This will give you the ph reading.

yes, use it in douches and best of luck to you.

First of all very very helpful site couldnt resist reading most of the articles and healing properties of Sodium Bicarbonate thank you so much for awakening the people. My question is how much can one take sodium bicarbonate as aprevention dose for cancer. And my next question is how much dose one needs of sodium bicarbonate for treatment of kidney failure.
    Thanking you

    • http://director.imva.info/ Mark Sircus

      Poonam,
Hard to say what is needed. Keep your body alkaline and let your pH be your guide. get some testing strips and check saliva pH. Stay on an alkaline diet and don’t rely on sodium bicarb alone to prevent cancer.

The studies showing sodium bicarbonate’s benefit in kidney failure stated that they administered 1gm/day. Other sources stated 600 mg/day. But note that this was in people who already had a diagnosis of chronic renal failure, and probably could not excrete acids from their bodies like healthier people can. This may be too much for people with normal kidney function, and excess alkalinity can also cause health problems.

      Bob,

Yes, taking bicarbonate orally and in baths may help you a lot. In studies on rats, sodium bicarbonate has been found to lessen the development of polycystic kidney disease.

Sodium bicarbonate has recently been found to oftentimes prevent and even reverse kidney failure.

    Dear Dr. Sircus,

Thank you for all you do in educating us. I would so appreciate if you could tell us what a good ph of our urine and saliva should be and the best time to check one’s ph – first thing in the morning, after meals, before bedtime and/or?

Also any testimonials that you receive with morgellons would be appreciated, did Carola see any improvement.

Do you have any recommendations for a way to rid the body of cellulose as in candida and morgellons?

Lastly, for more information on morgellons that may help you in determine what may be of help, I would like to refer you to the site http://www.morgellonsexposed.com and click on “The Throwback Collection of Morgellons Specimens.”

    Thank you so,

Best time to check salivary ph is in the morning before eating. You can check other times of the day but be aware that the food you have eaten or the drinks you have taken can markedly affect the readings at later times of the day. Urine pH is not necessarily a reliable indicator as it may reflect the acids being excreted from your body as it is the job of the kidneys to do so.

A healthy person should aim to maintain a salivary pH level of around 6.8 to 7.0
