People who treat other people as less than human must not be surprised when the bread they have cast on the waters comes floating back to them, poisoned. – James Baldwin
Who’s kidding who these days about where the first world is going and perhaps the rest of the world with it. Unless Moses comes down from the mountain with Jesus by his side it looks like what’s coming will change our lives and this world forever. Our leaders, top military officials and the heads of the most powerful bank, finance and industrial corporations know exactly what is going on but they don’t want you to know about it. They are not stupid though they are cruel, inhumanly so.
Clearly the obvious plan of the elite classes is to insure their own survival to the best of their abilities and the rest of us who care to have a hairs chance of a life had better be doing the same with their own survival plans. First world governments have been increasingly regulating and taking control over our lives and finances and now it’s done in desperation. The more one knows the more one smells the end of times, at least the good times we have known during these past few decades when debt was attractive.
The Abandonment of Truth
Paul Craig Roberts, who was Assistant Secretary of the Treasury during President Reagan’s first term says, “There was a time when the pen was mightier than the sword. That was a time when people believed in truth and regarded truth as an independent power and not as an auxiliary for government, class, race, ideological, personal, or financial interest. Today Americans are ruled by propaganda. Americans have little regard for truth, little access to it, and little ability to recognize it. Truth is an unwelcome entity. It is disturbing. It is off limits. Those who speak it run the risk of being branded “anti-American,” “anti-Semite” or “conspiracy theorist.” Truth is an inconvenience for government and for the interest groups whose campaign contributions control government.”
There is an inevitable outcome to what we have already done. Struggling against that truth has made things worse. Roberts concludes, “The liberty and prosperity of the American people have been thrown into the trash bin of history. The militarism of the U.S. and Israeli states, and Wall Street and corporate greed, will now run their course.”
