In an ideal world, one’s survival foods should also act as one’s medicine, not one’s poison. Mike Adams recently wrote, “It’s time the survival food industry had a wakeup call. Nearly all the popular survival food sold today is loaded with GMOs, MSG and chemical pesticides, and this fact is obvious from looking at their ingredients labels. Eating survival food in an emergency shouldn’t mean poisoning yourself with toxic chemicals, and it’s long past time that the survival food industry stopped using chemical ingredients that promote disease and death. Nearly all today’s emergency food products are made with pesticide-laden foods grown on conventional farms where crops are sprayed with Monsanto’s Roundup weed killer (glyphosate).”
Survival food is not just for emergencies and times of great trouble in the world like we are seeing in Venezuela where they are killing each other just to get a bite to eat. In addition, they are eating their cats and dogs. People do get that desperate.
Survival food/medicine is also for surviving the toxicities of life. Life is getting more hostile to human existence. It is getting hotter, and not in a temperature sense, but in a radioactive sense because we are playing around with Atomic Suicide. Fukushima alone will change the environment of the entire planet for the worse. There is just no limit to how much nuclear radiation can come out of an out of control nuclear reactor site. There is also no limit how much nuclear radiation doctors will expose their patients to, even their young ones in their feeble attempts to diagnosis and treat disease.
Coal fired plants around the world are doing the dastardly deed of terraforming the world into a toxic planet that is highly hazardous to human health. Survival food/medicine has to help you and your children survive that. The world has never been polluted to the extent it now is and it is only going to get worse. The fight for survival has already begun so waiting around and doing nothing is only going to insure that you and your family is going to lose the fight.
Mercury is making its presence felt more in the soil and is entering the food chain via our crops. Recent evidence suggests that mercury is responsible for a reduction of micro-biological activity vital to the terrestrial food chain in soils over large parts of Europe—and potentially in many other places in the world with similar soil characteristics. Critical limits to prevent ecological damage due to mercury in organic soils have been set at 0.07-0.3 mg/kg for the total mercury content in soil.[1] The Swedish Chemicals Inspectorate is reporting that the “mercury levels are increasing by about 0.5% per annum in the topmost layer of its forest soils and southern Sweden is already above the levels which have been shown to affect biological process and organisms in the soil.”[2]
The news offered by Dr. Palmer from the University of Texas and a Harvard Research team is that the mercury in the air is having its direct effect on our children, playing its part in the devastating epidemic of neurological disorders including autism. It is not just the fish, the vaccines or the dental amalgam that are saturating our bodies with mercury. Americans and people around the world are going to have to wake up to the fact that mercury is in the air they breathe, in the soil they plant in, and in the water they drink.
Power plants in the U.S. put 48 tons of mercury a year into the atmosphere through burning coal.[3] China spews 600 tons of mercury into the air each year, accounting for a great part of the world’s non-natural emissions. Moreover, the volume is rising quickly with more coal-fired energy plants now under construction in China than exists in the entire country of England. China all by itself is bringing on a mercury crisis. By 2020, China will have nearly 1,000 gigawatts of total electricity-generating capacity, more than twice the current amount, according to the State Power Economic Research Center.
In 5 years we can expect China to be pumping 1,400 tons of mercury into the air or approximately 60 additional tons a year as new capacity comes online.[4] This is a huge number and will join the already enormous amount of mercury bellowing up from China’s 2,000 coal-fired power plants. This mercury soars high into the atmosphere and then around the globe on what has become a transcontinental conveyor belt of mercury-polluted air. We can see from the chart below, China, over the last 15 years, has tripled its power-making capacity, thus its mercury-polluting capacity.
Mercury is not an ordinary air pollutant nor is it classified as such. Because it is a neurotoxin that causes neurological problems, it is considered a hazardous air pollutant, which gives it a different legal status. This is a very polite way of saying that mercury is a nerve poison, which even at the lowest concentrations imaginable causes problems for the young. We are only in the beginning phases of becoming aware of the tremendous problem with thousands of tons of mercury being poured into the air each year. If one gram of mercury can pollute a 20-acre lake or kill a child, imagine what eight to ten billion grams of it would do.[5]
It Matters Where You Live
A new study suggests that the air we breathe increases insulin resistance and inflammation.[6] Cardiovascular and lung researchers at The Ohio State University Medical Center are the first to report a direct link between air pollution and diabetes. If one lives in an urban center then one has to worry more. With survival, it really does matter where you live. Air pollution contributes to about 6.5 million deaths each year, the International Energy Agency warned in a report released in June of 2016, with casualties expected to drastically rise in coming decades unless the energy industry curbs emissions.
Even if we have a total economic and financial collapse halting most industrial activity it is too late because even if heavy metal and chemical toxicity leveled off radiation levels will continue to increase year after year. What is coming out of Fukushima is relentless.
Of course, the list of chemicals and heavy metals goes on. Dr. Jonathan Latham importantly tells us, “It is not an exaggeration to say that if the industrialization of food is not reversed our planet will be made unlivable for multi-cellular organisms. Our planet is becoming literally uninhabitable solely as a result of the social and ecological consequences of industrializing agriculture.” Pesticides and the huge tonnage of antibiotics used by industrial agriculture are plagues on our planet, plagues on our children.
High Quality Survival Food
Fruits and veggies like tomatoes, cucumbers, apples and kale are all noted for being alkaline-rich foods that fight inflammation, meaning that these foods extend life and increase health. However, it is not always easy to get your daily 5-7 servings of fruits and vegetables in because it is a lot of work. First, you have to go to the supermarket and buy the fruits and veggies but in troubled times, like now in Venezuela, those fruits and veggies are simply not on the shelves.
Global cooling and the shortening of growing seasons will devastate fruits and vegetables so surviving and obtaining quality nutrition will go hand in hand.
However, when available you still have to wash them, chop them and prepare them. This turns into quite a hassle for someone that is busy. It is no wonder most people do not eat the recommended amount of fruits and vegetables even when their health or life depends on it. The Gerson Method for cancer treatment is exactly a considerable challenge for these reasons. You have to chop and prepare half the day.
I have resolved the survival food and survival medicine equation with liquid seeds. Though I am stocking up on basic foods that we use every day, I am stocking up also on Soul and Core, two liquid seed products from Rain International because they mix incredible quality with incredible ease of consumption, and for survivalist and military types, this applies even when on the move.
I have also solved a difficult part of the medical equation that of getting high quality nutrition into someone even if on feeding tubes. Surviving in hospitals, not an easy accomplishment today would be made easier if liquid seeds were used to augment their terrible nutritional offerings. In terms of cancer treatment, Gerson had it right. Drowning a cancer patient in high quality liquid nutrition does much to make the outcome favorable.
Moreover, even more important for my wife and me is the hope that we can get the children to drink the liquid seeds giving us a chance to relax more about their nutritional needs. There is nothing more important for parents everywhere than to see their kids’ be healthy and happy. In family life, their survival comes first.
Liquid seeds are a wise choice for survival food. They are a mind-crafted food giving more nutrition than 37 food items that are normally recognized as the best survival foods.

[5] The world is 510 million square kilometers and 71 percent of that is ocean. One gram of mercury poured into eighty million liters of water would be cause for concern under federal human health standards for drinking water, enough to contaminate a typical mid-western lake. Thus one gram pollutes a typical 20 acre lake and 20 acres equals .081 square kilometers. One ton of mercury contains 1 million grams which would thus pollute 81,000 square kilometers of lakes. One thousand tons would pollute 81 million square kilometers, so 7,000 tons of mercury would pollute a lake the size of the world. The world is not a lake, so the one gram rule does not quite work, but it offers us a good reference point. The oceans are quite deep and the atmosphere also holds a vast capacity to hold mercury, as does the soil. But over the last five hundred years we have dug up and used approximately 1 million tons of mercury. That is 1,000,000,000,000 grams (a trillion) or enough to blanket each 20 acres on earth with over 149 grams. It is these 149 grams that is responsible for mercury levels increasing by a factor of 20 times over the last 3 centuries.
