This morning my wife found the below prose, which I wrote for her 10 years ago, when we were nine years into our romance, which still survives the mountain range of issues and conflicts we have and continue to pass through. In my first book, The Marriage of Souls, which I never really published, except choice parts in my Love and Sex Medicine book.
To hear her read this to me was to hear myself; the soul imprint that I have been faithful to.
My dear beloved
how many ways I love thee
I cannot count.
Nine years together nine years of love
nine years of growing together
nine years is a lot.
With all my heart I look forward to many more,
many more years of our love.
Being together with you on this journey we call life
is a pleasure and a peace that I truly appreciate.
We are actually just beginning our journey into the oneness of being
into the power and the joy that is ours to claim.
I hope you embrace the full tides of joy that are ours for the asking,
that joy we plan to share for the next fifty years.
Having a family with you is the best of the best,
a joy beyond joy so thank you my beloved for having one with me.
My love stands eternal for you my love, it never diminishes.
So on this day remember and celebrate
what has been ours for now on nine years of time.
Our time is now. Our place is together.
Together we will ride the beams of time to our place in destiny.
Love you honey, always have and always will,
for eternal time you are mine as I am yours.
Yes, I am an eternal romantic and wrote a chapter all those years ago about a type of romance that comes in like a tide that never goes out. I called it divine romance and it has worked for me. I share this with you because it was beautiful for me to hear, though I have heard these same words and many others like them come out of my mouth all during these years. Actually every day! It took a river of love thus expressed to conquer the most beautiful and powerful being I have encountered in this life. I am still working on that.
I also share this is because love is the answer; it is what we need to sustain our souls through these years of stress that our race is passing through. Governments will fail us but love will not.
