Hitting Cancer where it will Really Hurt

In all cases, cancer cells, when deprived of nutrients, starve to death faster than healthy cells.

The reason cancer is such an insidious enemy is that its cells divide uncontrollably, leading to the formation of tumors that keep growing, impair bodily functions, and in a worst-case scenario, metastasize—they spread from their original site, wreaking havoc around the body.

One test-tube study actually showed that exposing cancer cells to several cycles of fasting was as effective as chemotherapy in delaying tumor growth and increased the effectiveness of chemotherapy drugs on cancer formation.[1]

Ludwig Cancer Researchs said that bicarbonate cleans cells, helping them return to proper working order with normal circadian oscillations. This forces cancer cells to restrict the hours the cells can intake nutrition putting them into a partial starvation mode. In order to keep dividing indefinitely, cancer cells cannot afford the periodic fasting imposed by the circadian rhythm; before they can divide, they need to grow, and in order to grow, they need nutrients. That is why the most aggressive cancers have to take down the circadian oscillation.

We can think of the circadian cycle as a sort of internal clock that regulates many different mechanisms. The cycle starts over about every 24 hours (hence the term “circadian”, coming from Latin circa “about” and dies “day”). Among its many functions, it tells cells when they’re supposed to produce and consume nutrients. Healthy cells are normally allowed to do so for about 12 hours a day, in order to prevent them from being overwhelmed by a flood of excessive nutrients. Cancer cells need to eat 24 hours a day.

That’s one reason why cancer and acidity are related. Acidity is what forces cancer cells to shut down the oscillation allowing it to eat their hosts out of house and home. When we combine fasting with bicarbonates we open the cancer cells circadian oscillation and deny them food when it is time to eat, which is all the time for them. We starve the cancer cells. This prevents cancer cell division and growth.

Furiously paced division requires furious nutrient intake so if we open the oscillation with bicarbonate and we fast we hit them day and night 24/7. That’s a brutal condition for cancer cells. What we are doing is violently pulling the rug out from under cancer cells survival strategies.
