Looking at Cancer in a More Positive Light

One way of looking at cancer in a more positive light is to see that is is actually protecting your body from worse circumstances. Cancer is a natural result of a set of conditions. And if you alter those conditions that caused your cancer you certainly have a better chance of surviving.

Dr. Thomas Lodi says “Cancer is a natural reaction of the body to a particular set of circumstances. Cancer occurs when a cluster of cells lose the ability to use oxygen when it’s burning glucose for fuel…cancer is the body’s attempt to stay alive in spite of the loss of oxygen. The body’s imperative is to regenerate, rejuvenate and procreate. Cancer is protecting and maintaining the functional integrity of the organism and (cancer) is not the enemy – what we need to do is work on and eliminate the reason why the body had to become cancerous in the first place.”
