Climate change is a huge political football, so I find it very interesting and synchronistic that these last few weeks before the election will be cold and snowy in the northern hemisphere. Cold and wintery November and December weather conditions are crashing down, showing again how wrong politicians, the government, and the media are about man-made global warming. So, many of us will be bundled up in sweaters and jackets instead of wearing shorts and tee shirts.
When the media says record heat, it is best to translate that lie into record cold. When they say the ice is melting, believe it means increasing as it dramatically happening at the north pole. When they say no more snow for kids to play in, it means local governments will have to spend a fortune on snow cleanup.
Even the mainstream news is full of the cold, saying that as of Tuesday morning, more than 60 million people from the Plains to the Appalachians and Northeast are under some frost or freeze alert as temperatures drop. From Iceland To China, winter is setting in early, and records are falling.
A powerful cold front is sweeping the U.S., ushering in freezing temperatures, frost, and even sizable snowfalls. A Freeze Warning is in effect for southern Minnesota and much of the Midwest, with temperatures dropping into the 20s. This marks the season’s first freeze for many areas, including the Dakotas, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois, and Michigan.
Widespread frosts will continue across the region through midweek as temperatures remain in the 20s and 30s. The cold front will soon extend into the eastern U.S. The Northeast is set for early-season snow, particularly those in higher elevations. The Hudson Valley will dip into the 30s, maybe even the upper 20s, with frost and potential snow flurries by midweek. Even southern states like Florida and Texas will feel the chill, with both tanking into the 60s by Wednesday.
Winter Is Here Already in Russia
Labaznaya, a remote area in Russia situated at an elevation of
707 meters (2,320 feet), reached -28.1C (-18.6F) on October 11.
Large swaths of Russia are enduring an early deep freeze, with the town of Deputatsky registering -30C (-22F). This is the Northern Hemisphere’s first -30C of the season (outside Greenland), and has come weeks earlier than usual. Sebyan-Kyuyol reached a low of -23.9C (-11F) on Tuesday, October 8; Susuman saw -22.8C (-9F); Batagay-Alyta posted -20.6 C (-5.1F); Kolymskaya hit -20.4 C (-4.7F), and Taskan-In-Magadan bottomed-out at -20.3 C (-4.5F).
In The United Kingdom
The U.K. is enduring its second-worst harvest on record (to 1983), with cold, damp weather crippling crops from wheat to grapes. Despite analysts predictably blaming “climate change”, the reality is that it’s unseasonal cold and wet conditions—exactly the opposite of the warm, dry future they’ve long forecasted—that have devastated the growing season. Wine production has suffered the biggest losses, as you might expect, with some regions seeing yields plummet by 75%. Wheat output is down 21%, while winter barley and oilseed rape have declined 26% and 32%. The Energy and Climate Intelligence Unit (ECIU) estimates a £600m hit for farmers, as key crop production slumped 15% overall.
The persistently cold and soggy conditions stunted growth and delayed planting, forcing a costly shift to less productive spring crops. Vineyards were plagued by mold and disease, and grape yields, particularly across the southwest, have proven a disaster.
The alarmist predictions again fail to match reality—cold, not heat, is ruining the harvest. Yet the climate advocates persist in distorting the facts to fit their narrative.
Iceland
Iceland is also experiencing an unusual bout of cold, with temperatures plunging to near-record lows. In Grímsstaðir, which sits at an elevation of 384 meters (1,260 feet), thermometers dropped to -18.6C (-1.5F), which is just 0.7C (1.3F) shy of the October national record set at the exact location in 1926. This also marks the settlement’s third consecutive day with temperatures below -15C (5F), a new October record.
Consensus?
Brandon Smith writes, “If we are talking about the concept of man-made climate change, the claim of consensus in science is a lie. The data suggests there is simply no such thing as man-made climate change. There is no evidence of causation between carbon emissions and global warming. No evidence that global warming causes extreme whether. No evidence that our current warming cycle is significant or unique compared to any other warming cycle in history.”
In 2012, the American Meteorological Society (AMS) surveyed its 7,000 members, receiving 1,862 responses. Of those, only 52% said they think global warming over the 20th century has happened and is primarily man-made (the IPCC position). The remaining 48% believe it happened, but natural causes explain at least half of it, or it didn’t happen, or they don’t know.
So no sign of a 97% consensus. Not only do about half reject the IPCC conclusion, but more than half acknowledge that their profession is split on the issue.
“In fact, the Washington Post recently accidentally proved the alternative media’s point on climate change when they tried to map the temperature history of the Earth over 450 million years, only to discover what I have been saying for the longest time – Today’s temps are far lower than they have been through most of the Earth’s history,” says Smith.
Instead of being climate deniers, it makes much more sense to be a climate realist. Climate change is real and constant and has existed since the earth formed. It is nothing new, yet the hype around it is constant and has been consistently wrong.
Climate Goals
We have global climate goals, but China, Indonesia, and India have refused to follow them. No one has looked ahead to what happens when India and Africa industrialize. No one in the mainstream is considering that the narrative is wrong, that the world, instead of heating, is cooling, and that it would be the stupidest thing humanity has ever done to spend uncountable trillions of money that no one has to reduce global warming.
Global warming fanatics are getting desperate, going as far as trying to rename “inflation” to “heat-inflation” so they can blame rising prices on climate change. The Trudeau government cabinet wanted to rename “inflation” to be called “heat-flation” in order “to persuade Canadians to associate the rising cost of living with climate change.” In April, the Privy Council Office convened a focus group to test the ‘climate-inflation’ and ‘heat-flation’ labels. However, this year, like the years before, fall is feeling more like winter in many areas around the globe. Last winter, China broke almost a thousand cold records.
MIT and Harvard Scientists Say Global
Warming Causes More CO2, Not the Opposite
Reputable scientists at Harvard and MIT challenge the notion that Carbon Dioxide causes global warming. They look at ice samples, the same ones Al Gore used to justify his theories, and claim Gore has everything backward. All the ice core samples show the same thing.
